Pinecone Birdfeeders

The girls made pinecone birdfeeders at storyhour today. Here's how to make them if you're interested in a fun, easy craft! You need:
1 small pinecone
1 tbs peanut butter
5 crushed crackers
1 piece of string about 12 in. long
Cover the pinecone in peanut butter. Place crackers in ziplock bag to crush then coat the peanut butter covered pinecone in the ziplock bag and shake until the pinecone is covered. Remove from bag and tie string around the top of the pinecone. Make a small knot at the top end of the string and hang from a tree branch!

When we got home from the library the girls wanted to hang their birdfeeders, and of course, we couldn't go in without swinging for a few minutes. I just love being able to spend my day with my sweet girls!

Happy 4th Birthday Makenzie!!!

Better late than never, right? Makenzie's actual birthday was Wednesday so we had cake and icecream with the family after church. Of course, Makenzie wanted a Hannah Montana party...

The cake was made by Sweet Temptations in Ackerman, and it was wonderful!

She loved her cake and couldn't wait to eat it!

Blowing out the candles...

Such a pretty smile... I can't believe my baby is 4 years old!!!

Makenzie with Hillaree and Presley...when these three are together, they are TROUBLE...lol!

A Tea Party Fit For a Princess!

My big girl will be four (yes, four!) on Wednesday so we celebrated today with a tea party! We started the party with make-overs that included hair, make-up, and nails. Katie and Marlie worked their magic on 12 little girls, and they all looked beautiful!

Next, the girls went over to make Tussie Mussies (little bouquets). My Mom is explaining what the bouquets represent (friendship), and how to make them.
After everyone finished getting all dolled up, we had a fashion show! Each little girl (or her Mom lol) filled out a sheet about their favorites beforehand, and each took their turn walking the red carpet to Hannah Montana's "Party in the USA" They were all so cute! We even had judges that awarded each little girl a certificate afterward. Presley got "Miss Life of the Party" and Makenzie got "Miss Dressed to the "T"

After the fashion show, all the girls sat down to have "tea" which really consisted of pink lemonade or hot chocolate with marshmallows. We sang "Happy Birthday" to Makenzie and dug into the wonderful chocolate petit fours.

We even had a little karaoke afterward! The girls sang away to Hannah Montana, and Presley even danced for us!

I think this party has to be one of my favorites that we've had so far. The girls had so much fun, and none of them wanted to take off their little dresses to leave. We took so many cute pictures, but of course, didn't have room to post them all. I'll try to load an album on Facebook though! Thanks to everyone who helped make Makenzie's special day great. She had a great time!

I can't believe how quickly the time flies! I feel like Makenzie should still be a baby and not a big four-year old about to start kindergarten! She never ceases to amaze me with the things that she says, understands, or asks. She is truely an amazing child, and I am so blessed to be her Mommy!

New Year's Eve

Kimberlin, Trystun, and Shay kept all four kids while Angie, Bryan, Wayne, and I went out to eat on New Year's Eve. When we got back from dinner, we let the girls do some sparklers and roman candles despite the rain. Oh well, the girls enjoyed it anyway!

We had a great time, guys! Hope to do it again soon.

Having Fun With Carlee

Aunt Christie (Mommy's college roomate) and Carlee came to visit last week. We met for lunch at Umi's then ran in Wal-Mart for a few things together. The kids had a great time playing throughout the store!

Silly girls!
