Wedding Showers Galore!
Have I mentioned that I'm about to get a new sister-in-law? Katie has been a part of our family for a long time now, but we are so excited that it's about to be official!
We've been having lots of fun with wedding showers so I thought I'd share some pics.
The First Shower:
Katie and the flower girls...they are SO excited!

Spring Break Continues With a Day at the Zoo!
We made a trip to Jackson for a visit with the cousins and a fun morning at the zoo. I can't even begin to tell you how excited the girls were to get to play with their cousins!
First stop...the giraffes!
Nobody wanted to take a pic tho! They kept saying the sun was in their eyes :)
All five of our pretty girls...are we blessed or what?
Flamingos!
Our last stop before lunch was the petting zoo.
Ummm Presley...I don't think I'd do that if I were you!
Picnic time!
The entire time we were looking at animals, the girls kept saying they were hungry even though they'd all just had breakfast not too long ago! I don't even know if they enjoyed the animals very much because they were just starving to death!
Sweet Emerson...such a cutie!
Now, we couldn't leave the zoo without riding the choo choo!
After the zoo, we went back to the cousins' house to play!
The older 3 girls played outside while the younger 2 took a nap.
My girls were so worn out from their fun day that they slept the whole way home! They were out cold before I ever left Jackson.
What a peaceful ride home! Too bad I couldn't nap with them ;)
Thanks so much EG, EK, ES, and Jan for such a FUN day! We had a GREAT time!
Love you all!

Spring Break
Yay!! Finally! Spring Break arrived, and I had one EXCITED little girl when we told her she didn't have to go to school last week. We decided to have some fun of course so we spent most of our days picnicing at the park, playing outside, and fishing!
Daddy let the girls ride their Barbie Jeep down to the pond for some fishing. They did fine until they got stuck in the mud! Who said you can't mud ride in a Barbie Jeep?
Here comes Daddy to the rescue! Makenzie put the pedal to the metal and got thru all that yucky mud.
And off they go again...I think Daddy got a little tickled...lol
The girls have really started to like fishing! They've asked to go pretty much everyday for the last two weeks. Makenzie has learned to throw her line out really well, and she catches lots of fish too!
Presley loves trying to do everything her big sister does. She wanted NO help, but we managed to talk her into letting us help her after a few tries on her own.
Just look at the excitement on their faces when they realize they've caught a fish! Love it!
Makenzie catches her first fish all by herself!
She was soo proud of herself!
Look out! Presley caught one too!
I absolutely LOVE watching my girls have a good time!
Brad's Tool Shower
Wayne hosted a Tool Shower for his brother last weekend, and for those of you not familiar with these, it's a fun way to "shower" the Groom before a wedding. This was a men only shower and guests brought gifts of tools for the new husband to be. Things for his "honeydo list". In Brad's case, he mainly got giftcards so that he could buy his tools of choice lol. It was a fun night though. Wayne grilled hamburgers for everyone, and they spent the majority of the night catching up and enjoying their time together. Yes, I was there to at least get a few pictures and make sure they had everything they needed as far as food goes. ;)
Here are some pics:

Makenzie Lost Her First Tooth!
Makenzie came in my room one morning a few weeks ago and said, "Mom, I have a loose tooth!" I laughed at her and thought yeah right! She kept on though so I thought I might should take a look. I put my finger on her tooth, and sure enough, it moved! I thought I would faint! Is a five year old really supposed to lose teeth this early?
Ok..for those of you who know me, you know I am not the weak in the knees at the site of blood type of person. I've pulled everyone else's children's teeth for years, but when it came to my own child, I wanted to put my hand over her mouth and yell "NO NOT YET!"
It was just another sign that my little girl is indeed growing up, and I am just not ready! Makenzie on the other hand was super excited to have a loose tooth! Despite my telling her not to let anyone put their fingers in her mouth to "wiggle" it and to try to keep it in as long as possible, it continued to get extremely loose...so loose in fact, that I had to break down and pull it about 5 days later for fear of her swallowing it with her food!
I reached in and plucked it out without her even knowing it. She was fine until it started to bleed a little. She saw the blood and freaked out! She ran into the bathroom (still not knowing I'd pulled her tooth), and started rinsing her mouth out. She looked up into the mirror, and man do I wish I had my camera to catch her expression when she realized her tooth was gone! She actually thought she'd spit her tooth out into the sink and washed it down the drain! I had to quickly show her that I had her tooth before we had another panic attack lol.
Now...just imagine her excitement when the Tooth fairy came and left her a $1! That's right $1...this tooth fairy refuses to go broke handing out $5 bills for teeth! LOL
Book Review: Heaven is For Real
I am soo behind in my posting. It has been CRAZY here with Makenzie being home for Spring Break last week and all the wedding excitement going on with my Brother-in-law's upcoming wedding. I'll be posting for days to catch up! I did want to quickly post this book review. I was given this little book to read shortly after I miscarried, and it gave me so much encouragement that I had to share it with others. I read this book in two hours-I wasn't able to put it down! If you haven't read it, you MUST.
A young boy emerges from life-saving surgery with remarkable stories of his visit to heaven.
Heaven Is for Real is the true story of the four-year old son of a small town Nebraska pastor who during emergency surgery slips from consciousness and enters heaven. He survives and begins talking about being able to look down and see the doctor operating and his dad praying in the waiting room. The family didn’t know what to believe but soon the evidence was clear.
Colton said he met his miscarried sister, whom no one had told him about, and his great grandfather who died 30 years before Colton was born, then shared impossible-to-know details about each. He describes the horse that only Jesus could ride, about how "reaaally big" God and his chair are, and how the Holy Spirit "shoots down power" from heaven to help us.
Told by the father, but often in Colton’s own words, the disarmingly simple message is heaven is a real place, Jesus really loves children, and be ready, there is a coming last battle.
Pick up this little book at Wal-mart, Amazon.com, or where any books are sold! You will be glad you did! I think my entire family has now read this book, and I can speak for all of us when I say this book will leave you with a smile on your face and hope in your heart. LOVED IT!

Rainy Day= Spa day at Aunt Hanna's!!
The girls had been begging to play with Britlee at her house, and their Aunt Hanna offered to have them over for a "spa day". She really does spoil them :)
Since it was a rainy day, and we had nothing to do, Mommy decided to tag along! Kimberlin had spent the night at Hanna's too so we just made it a family affair and had a great time. Hanna tackled Mani's and Pedi's, I did hair, and Kimberlin did the make-up. The girls had a GREAT time getting all dressed up. Then of course, they had to have a fashion show. Cheerleading followed the fashion show, and that was hilarious! Wish I had a video or pic to post of Hanna's toe touch :) I can't believe she can still do that after all these years! I'm scared to attempt that- I'd end up in the hospital LOL.
Here are some pics of our day...excuse the quality. I only had my cell phone to take pics with-didn't realize I'd need to bring my camera along! I should know better!
Makenzie and Britlee in rollers! Presley, of course, is too much of a tomboy right now for rollers lol. She specifically asked to have her hair put in pigtails :)
Gotta have some make-up. This was the first time the girls have actually had on mascara. They usually only get a little lip gloss!
Can't forget the nails and toenails! They loved picking from all the different colors, and Aunt Hanna even had glittery stickers they could put on their toes!
The finished products LOL... They looked so cute!
We LOVE our pretty girls! Poor Brennan...he just sat and watched as the girls did their thing...he's going to hate all of this a year or so from now!
Thanks Aunt Hanna (and Kimberlin) for such a fun day! We love you!!
