Since Halloween fell on Sunday this year, our church decided to do something a little different & have our Fall Festival today. We started the morning with church services out on the front lawn in front of the church, then we had dinner on the grounds, and lastly, the kids went wild playing games, getting their faces painted, and even enjoying a hayride.

Trick or Treat
I loaded up my little cowgirl and indian and we met Aunt Hanna, Uncle Brent, Britlee, and Brennan in Louisville tonight for some Trick or Treating.
The funny thing is, after we'd been to only about 5 or 6 houses, Presley looked at me and said "Mommy, I'm fulled up (talking about her candy bucket), are we done yet?" My girls are not used to getting candy very often so they thought they'd won the jackpot with just a half a bucket of candy! No complaining here! I'm glad they were easily satisfied!
The kids had a great time, and as soon as they got home, they ran straight to Daddy to show him all the yummy candy they'd received....oh boy....can anyone say sugar high? LOL
Britlee's 2nd Birthday!
My neice turned 2 on October 26th, and we just had to make a day of it! We all met for a picnic lunch in the park, and had a good time playing. I never imagined how much I would love this child, but I love her like I love my own two girls, and just hearing her say, "Aunt Jessi, hold me!" makes my day. I love that she calls me Moma- even when her own Moma is standing right there (she still gets Hanna and I confused sometimes lol), and I love that she adores me just as much as I adore her! I love you Britlee...so VERY much, and I hope you had the best birthday yet!
Britlee and Presley eating lunch- or trying to! It was sooo windy that day!
Hanna, Brent, and Britlee
Presley and Britlee swinging...they love it!
She enjoyed that cupcake a little too much LOL
Brennan (my nephew) slept through lunch, presents, and all! And YES, I adore him too!! Isn't he precious!?!
Trip to the Pumpkin Patch
Ok, yes I know, I'm a little behind. Things have been crazy busy around here this month, and I've had some trouble finding time to get pics loaded and blogs updated, but alas, I've finally done it! I'm attempting to catch up for now anyway...more to come soon I promise!
After a ruined trip (stupid car rental company!) to Jackson to go to the pumpkin patch with the cousins, I was feeling extremely guilty about letting my girls down. So, the next day Wayne and I decided to load the girls up (with Aunt Hanna, Britlee, and Brennan along for the ride) and head to Madi Bell Farm in Houston. Such a cute place with lots of fun things to do! The kids had a blast & we'll definitely be going back again next year!

Random Thought of the Day...
I'm reading a book by John Gray (well a paragraph a day at this point since I'm so busy lol), but today I read something that really struck me. In his book he said, "For God's blessing to take hold in our lives, we must do everything within our power to get what we need. We cannot just expect God to do it all. It does not work that way. God only does the part you cannot do."
Hmmm....made me think... I know I often say, "Well, if God wants me to have/do something, he'll open the right doors." BUT, maybe I expect him to do it all. LOL...guess we should do our part & let him do the rest.
So, I don't guess I should just sit back & wait for things to just fall in my lap, right? LOL
Seriously, in the past, I think I've felt that way. Like I should be able to pray and ask God for things I need & if it was His will, he would give them to me. BUT, maybe I looked at that the wrong way. Maybe if it's His will, he provides a way for those needs to be met, but if we aren't being proactive, we might miss a blessing.
Just my thoughts for the day...Now, back to work for me!

Flower Girls
The girls were flower girls for the first time in Hannah Prisock's wedding, and they loved every minute of it! Their Aunt KK made them look adorable, and they loved getting their hair done & getting to wear a bit of makeup. Both made it down the isle and did exactly what they were supposed to do. Now, they can't wait to do it all again for their Uncle Brad and Aunt KK's wedding!!

What in the world is that? No...it can't be!
We got a huge surprise on Friday when I walked into Makenzie's room to look for a toy for Presley. I just happened to glance over at the fish tank and noticed something didn't seem to be quite right. Upon further inspection, I quickly realized the tiny little things swimming around in the tank were baby fish! Apparently, our Molly fish (who was specifically supposed to be male & the only fish of this type we have) was pregnant when we bought her & she had babies. Molly's have live birth instead of laying eggs & upon further research, I found that they can have 12-30 babies their first time & up to 60 after that. Not only that but a fertilized Molly in a tank (even without a male fish) can continue to have babies for up to 6 months. WHAT???!!! You can imagine the excitement in our house when Makenzie got home from school on Friday and I showed her the babies swimming around in her fish tank! When I first noticed them there were only 3 babies swimming around, but I went in to feed them Friday evening & noticed she was acting strange so I decided to watch for a minute & I got to witness her have another one...very neat, really! I would love to post a pic, but you would never be able to see them. They're all smaller than your pinky fingernail & clear colored. As of right now, all 4 babies are thriving & eating...crazy! Hmmm...think we're going to need a bigger tank lol!
